Netherlands Trip - Tollesbury      15th July:

We gorged ourselves on cornflakes for breakfast in the cockpit in bright sunshine, with Rex topping up on toast. There was no hurry to leave, high tide into the Tollesbury would not be until 12:30.
Once we could leave Bradwell, we headed up to the Nass, a convenient navigation point off the coast of Mersea Island, and then steered a course to take us to the South Channel into Tollesbury.
Three young sailors, each in a Laser dinghy, sailed an imaginary course just off our starboard side, their instructor zipping along in a RIB and advising as necessary.
Once in the South Channel, we secured ourselves to a buoy until we thought there would be sufficient water in Duonita's berth. When we did get going, we found kids from the Fellowship Afloat lightship diving into Woodrolfe Creek. Good for them I thought.
Rex conducted a perfect manoeuvre to allow us to glide into the berth, all that was required was a little nudge from the bow thruster to slide the twin keels over the mud.
We had made another epic journey. Now was a time to reflect on our adventure, which we later shared with Meryl over a few drinks at the King's Head.
